05/23/23 Miles 32-42: 10 miles to Mount Laguna and a little store to grab more snacks and re supply until I get to Julian for some packages. I bunked up with Izzy and Julia (two other quirky thru hikers) in the Laguna Mountain Lodge. Both were a welcoming distraction! Management gave us 5 gallon buckets with a bag of laundry detergent to wash our nasty hiker clothes in… much appreciated sir! We was ripe! Excited to sleep in a bed. All I can think about now is the pain in my leg that hasn’t changed much since Sunday. I make the decision if it hasn’t changed by morning I’ll find a ride to the nearest urgent care.
