“A” Team

05/25/23 Zero day: I slept at the Julian Lodge last night, this town is super charming. I went to a little country cafe and had breakfast as big as my head, I also met a cute older couple from Mukilteo, Wa. Such a small world this is. I had enough leftovers for lunch and dinner! I walked around for a bit and came back to my room to ice and rest my leg. Seems to be improving, less swelling, redness and pain today. I had been thinking a lot about my experience so far, how involved and invested my loved ones are in this and then I read an article about how the PCT is a team sport and it caught me in my feels. I’ve called my people countless times in 5 days. They’ve encouraged me, gave me words of wisdom, ordered and sent me packages and just listened when I needed an ear. I couldn’t do it without them or the others along the way like Annette, TownWard, Julia and Izzy, Max and several others. I am counting my blessings today and exploding with gratitude for the love and support I have in my life! My team is the “A” team.
